And I want to sleep
There is a shiver
Running through my spine,
The spine of the mountains,
And creeping through my blood,
The sap of the world.
And I want to sleep.
I want to sleep,
And become part of the frozen, barren ground,
The harsh soil that need not be tilled
By human hands,
But nature’s caress
I want to wake up in warmer times,
When there are small ferns growing beneath my feet,
Little organisms perching in my hair
I want to sleep
